Changes to Superannuation
Imminent changes to industrial awards may determine the super funds an employer must use as a preferred, or default fund for award employees. This change is referred to as award modernisation.
In 2008 the Federal Parliament passed the Workplace Relations Amendment Act 2008, which will result in the introduction of new awards for many industries, governing areas such as pay, working conditions and superannuation from 1 January 2010.
